Market Update - Spring 2021
Well, what a start to 2021 – we are in lockdown 3 but we can still operate safely. At the time of writing this article we are able to visit properties to carry out viewings and valuations. This has enabled the property market to still keep functioning and people can still move home when they have completed their transaction. In the main the solicitors we work with are working normally and removal companies can still move furniture and personal possessions between properties.
The stamp duty deadline has now been extended to 30th June 2021 for properties up to £500,000 and 30th September for properties up to £250,000 and we are working with buyers, sellers and their respective solicitors to get the current sales we are dealing with over the new deadlines. With the expected upturn during Spring we also anticipate an improvement in the sales activity as we move further into 2021.
