ROBERT ELLIS SUPPORT DRAYCOTT VILLAGE
Draycott village were nominated for the 2022 RHS ‘Britain in Bloom’ awards back in January. The village was one of just 5 entries for the large village category and it was extremely proud to be awarded a GOLD award again! (Back in 2019 they also won gold in the same competition). This is the RHS’ highest accolade which isn’t given out lightly. Draycott village volunteers received some very positive feedback from the judges who attended the ceremony in London on October 10th.
This award follows the other gold we received from East Midlands in Bloom judges in September.
It was definitely a challenging year for all gardeners with the extreme climatic conditions but they hoped that the Queen’s Jubilee artwork and planting helped brighten up the village for everyone. The team will now be re-planting spring bulbs and flowers so there is something to look forward to over the winter months.
Robert Ellis are very pleased to support the Draycott in Bloom volunteers who both organise and fundraise to make the village look so colourful and such a lovely place for people to live.
